Inspire Through Flowers is an all-volunteer organization - that means we need passionate people like you to join our flower family! Volunteering is a special experience - and there are opportunities for everyone to contribute.
Our volunteers pick up donated flowers, recut, refresh and arrange flowers in our workshops, personally deliver bouquets, prep our arranging materials, write grant applications, and help with administrative projects, marketing tasks, and social media.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Volunteering is a hands-on experience that is rewarding, engaging, and fun.
Gather Flowers
Our work starts with gathering flowers. We collect donated blooms from grocers, wholesalers, event venues, and places of worship, among others.
Recut & Refresh
The workshop team unloads donations, recuts flowers, refreshes blooms, recycles all packaging, and composts any unusable plant material.
Arrange Flowers
Volunteers create beautiful bouquets from the donated and refreshed flowers. Each bouquet is thoughtfully crafted, artfully wrapped, and carefully boxed for a community delivery.
Deliver Bouquets
Volunteers deliver our creations to healthcare facilities, essential workers, domestic abuse survivors, refugees, veterans, and nursing home residents. We make deliveries throughout Chicagoland.
